In this unprecedented time of COVID-19, Emergence Health Network (EHN) and its behavioral health professionals know the mental well-being of the residents in our community and those across the world, is just as important as their physical health.   Through a grant awarded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC), Emergence Health Network will now offer residents in El Paso and the Permian Basin area a new resource to help with emotional concerns related to the Coronavirus pandemic.

“As the Local Mental Health Provider, Emergence Health Network is now connecting El Paso residents and those in the Midland/Odessa region with our EHN mental health professionals who can provide support to those feeling overwhelmed and stressed due to the Coronavirus pandemic and the impact it’s having on our daily lives,” said Kristi Daugherty, Emergence Health Network CEO. “It’s not uncommon to experience concerns and feelings of anxiety, depression, and even anger during these uncertain times. Talking with someone can be very helpful and this support hotline is a valuable resource that can provide easy access to services. That is the goal here, making sure help is available. It’s also free and confidential.”

Through the FEMA Crisis Counseling Program and Texas Recovering Together initiative, EHN will operate the COVID-19 Mental Health Support Hotline for residents in the El Paso and the Midland/Odessa area. “Our counselors are trained in trauma-informed support which means our mental health experts recognize our emotional health can be affected by disasters and this pandemic falls in that category. Now help is just a phone call away,” Daugherty added. To receive help, call the Crisis Counseling Program free COVID-19 Mental Health Support Hotline at 915-779-1800.
